Among these, legacy Boeing 777s and some leased aircraft already feature first-class cabins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, these planes are set to undergo retrofitting to align with the airline\u2019s vision of delivering a consistent premium experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The retrofitting process will commence with <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/Boeing-787\/\">Boeing 787s<\/a> this year, while upgrades to legacy A320 neos are expected to conclude by mid-2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These improvements will extend to narrow-body aircraft, which account for 80% of Air India\u2019s operations, ensuring a modern product for domestic and short-haul international passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite setbacks, including technical issues and delays with its legacy Boeing 777s, Air India remains committed to optimizing this fleet. While Air India is open to leasing, Aggarwal noted the complexities of integrating leased planes into the fleet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline expects deliveries from its recent orders to begin this year, with more arrivals in subsequent years, although specific numbers depend on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) timelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enhance customer retention, Air India is overhauling its corporate and loyalty offerings.
