TEL AVIV-<\/strong> Airlines like EL AL Israel (LY)<\/a> and Ryanair (FR) <\/a>have revealed plans to operate more flights between Europe and Israel in Summer 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the Middle-Eastern tensions, major international carriers have temporarily halted flights to Israel since October 2023. However, some carriers still operate flights to and from Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EL AL Israel Europe Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. redirects its flight capacity following the suspension of Tel Aviv-Moscow, Russia routes for three months. The suspension stems from a fatal incident involving an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft in Kazakhstan, where 38 passengers lost their lives after Russian air defenses misidentified the diverted plane as hostile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline reallocates its eight weekly Moscow flights to meet increased demand across European destinations. El Al strengthens its European network by adding two weekly flights to Paris, raising the frequency to 25. The carrier increases service to Vienna from five to six flights weekly, while Frankfurt connections expand from six to eight flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Al enhances Swiss connectivity by adding two weekly flights to Zurich, bringing the total to nine. Munich service receives an additional weekly flight, increasing from five to six frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair Tel Aviv Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair announces plans to resume full flight operations from Tel Aviv in the summer of 2024, Chief Executive Eddie Wilson of Ryanair told Reuters<\/a><\/em>. The airline seeks reopening of Ben Gurion Airport’s Terminal 1 to accommodate low-cost carriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Irish carrier suspended Israel operations due to regional conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon, though it reactivated routes from Jordan in December. Ryanair bases its operational decisions on European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)<\/a> guidance for the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Germany, Ryanair expands its regional airport presence with two additional aircraft, creating 800,000 new passenger seats. The carrier maintains previously announced cuts of 1.8 million seats at major German airports including Berlin, Hamburg, and Leipzig, citing excessive airport fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wilson projects potential German passenger traffic growth to 34 million in the medium term, contingent on reduced access costs. This expansion depends on governmental policy changes affecting airport charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline continues monitoring regulatory guidance while maintaining operational flexibility across its European network. Wilson delivered these updates during an interview in Berlin on Thursday, emphasizing Ryanair’s strategic focus on market expansion through cost-effective airport partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
