The airline will have notable adjustments now coming in for the summer 2025 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulf Air had made major adjustments to its India network in the winter 2024 season as well. The changes are coming to the South-Indian cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TIAG747\/status\/1875550360548569420\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Indian Aviation Guy<\/a> on Twitter (X), Gulf Air (GF) will make changes in its network from four Indian cities. The last flight is set to fly out of Kozhikode (CCJ) on 28<sup>th<\/sup> March 2025. Gulf Air (GF) currently operates 4 times a week flights and competes with Air India Express (AIX). Air India Express (AIX) also operates 4 times a week flights in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kerela is traditionally believed to have a high demand to the Gulf region. This move by the airline is rather shocking. However, there is no clear reason as to why the airline is ending its operations to Kozhikode (CCJ). Maybe, Gulf Air (GF) is not able to compete with Air India Express (AIX) in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kochi-cok\"><strong>Kochi (COK)<\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulf Air will reduce the flight frequency to 3x weekly starting from 6<sup>th<\/sup> April 2025. The airline operates 4x weekly flights now with Airbus A320 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulf Air competes with <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/Air-India-Express\/\">Air India Express (AIX)<\/a> in the sector. Air India Express (AIX) flies 6 times a week between Kochi (COK) and Bahrain (BAH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other two cities to see the changes will have the increment in the capacity by the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-goa-dabolim-goi\"><strong>Goa Dabolim (GOI)<\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulf Air (GF) will increase the flights to 7 times a week. The airline flies 4 times a week in the sector now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The introduction of daily flights reflects the strong and growing travel demand to Goa. The airline plans to double its presence in Bengaluru (BLR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reportedly, Gulf Air (GF) has opened bookings for a 2<sup>nd<\/sup> flight which will be operating 7 times a week. The airline currently operates flights to Bengaluru (BLR) 7 times a week. With the introduction of this new flight, the airline will have double capacity to the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline a few weeks ago had planned to reduce the frequency to Bengaluru (BLR) to 6x weekly. However, it seems that the airline was in the process of updating the GDS (Global Distribution System). The airline added flights to cities like Athens (ATH) in Greece and Munich (MUC) in Germany. The airline plans to continue the expansion further in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From what it appears, Gulf Air seems to have begun focusing more on connecting passengers. This might be the reason the airline is doubling its presence in one of the three most important airports of India \u2013 Bengaluru (BLR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulf Air (GF) is likely to make more changes to its network in the coming days.
