Another Cathay Pacific flight to <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Chicago\">Chicago <\/a>in September 2024 was <strong>similarly diverted<\/strong> due to an unruly passenger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such disruptions not only inconvenience travelers but also impose significant operational challenges on airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hong Kong\u2019s Aviation Security Ordinance outlines strict penalties for unruly behavior, including fines of up to <strong>HK$50,000<\/strong> and imprisonment for up to <strong>five years<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cathay Pacific also reserves the right to seek compensation from offenders for losses incurred.
