The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey plans a $19 billion<\/strong> JFK Airport transformation. The project includes two new terminals, modernization of existing facilities, a ground transportation center, and a redesigned roadway network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkish Airlines (TK) will relocate operations to New Terminal One, maintaining its 19 weekly flights<\/strong> to Istanbul. The airline will establish a lounge that is 11,000 sq ft., double the size of its current Terminal 1 facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expanded lounge will offer premium amenities<\/strong>, airport airfield views<\/strong>, and direct aircraft boarding access<\/strong> for business class and frequent flyer passengers. JFK New Terminal One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New Terminal One at JFK Airport represents a critical infrastructure development in the Port Authority’s $19 billion airport<\/strong> transformation project. The terminal aims to achieve a Top 5 Skytrax ranking as a world-class international gateway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction will occur on sites currently occupied by Terminals 1, 2, and 3<\/strong>, anchoring JFK’s south side. The first phase, including 14 new gates<\/strong>, will open in 2026, with full completion expected by 2030<\/strong>. The terminal will span 2.6 million square feet<\/strong>, becoming the largest at JFK Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility will feature 23 international-only gates with sustainable design and advanced technology. Expansive, naturally lit spaces will prioritize enhanced passenger experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terminal will compete with top-rated global airport terminals through innovative amenities and design. A consortium led by Ferrovial, JLC Infrastructure, Ullico, and Carlyle will develop the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terminal commits to local inclusion, with participation goals including 30% minority and women-owned enterprises, 10% local business enterprises, and 3% service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. Union labor will construct the terminal, emphasizing community and workforce development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
