The aircraft, originally bound for Phoenix, safely landed after pilots declared an emergency following the incident.

Flight records from FlightAware indicate the plane took off initially but turned back 41 minutes into the journey due to a tire problem. Southwest Airlines confirmed the aircraft returned to Denver without incident, with all passengers remaining unharmed.

Passenger Julianna Donadio, a Boulder resident, described the tense moments aboard the flight. The dramatic sequence began with a loud noise during takeoff, followed by flight attendants preparing passengers for a potential emergency landing. Crew members instructed passengers in emergency exit row procedures and guided them to assume crash positions.

On November 22nd, 2023, a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700 experienced a blown tire during landing at Orlando International Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration reported minor wing damage. The flight carried 139 passengers and five crew members, with no injuries recorded. The aircraft was temporarily grounded in Orlando before a potential return to service.

Similarly, an incident occurred in June 2023, during Flight WN1209 from Las Vegas to Chicago, which experienced a tire burst shortly after takeoff. Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 revealed a detailed sequence of events. The aircraft took off from Harry Reid International Airport at 2:51 PM UTC and detected an issue approximately 40 minutes into the flight.

Stay tuned with us.
