DUBLIN \u2013<\/strong> On November 27, 2024, Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Atlanta (ATL) was forced to divert to Dublin and make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport (DUB) to remove an unruly passenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A330-300, registered N810NW, was operating flight DL83 from CDG to Atlanta. On Wednesday morning, flight DL83 took off from CDG at 9:13 AM local time, slightly delayed from its scheduled departure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, approximately 90 minutes into the flight, the crew decided to divert to Dublin after one of the passenger\u2019s disruptive behavior posed safety concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports from witnesses onboard suggest the passenger caused a commotion, prompting the crew to alert authorities in Ireland. Dublin Airport\u2019s fire services were on standby during the overweight landing due to the large amount of fuel still onboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irish police, An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na, confirmed that the passenger, a man in his 30s, was arrested and later charged. The 30-year-old appeared in Dublin District Court the same afternoon, as reported by PYOK<\/a>. The police refrained from sharing further details about the charges, as the matter is now before the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight DL83 was scheduled to land in Atlanta at 12:45 PM local time but instead touched down at Dublin at 10:45 AM UTC. After the situation was resolved, the aircraft resumed its journey and departed Dublin at 12:15 PM UTC, finally arriving in Atlanta later that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
