CHICAGO-<\/strong> Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and United Airlines (UA)<\/a> have announced the launch of two nonstop routes (Chicago and Houston) starting in May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Houston route will feature four weekly flights during the summer and daily service in the winter. United will also introduce three weekly summer flights to its Chicago hub, strengthening connectivity between Edmonton and key U.S. destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Chicago to Edmonton Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

YEG emphasized the importance of Chicago <\/a>as a global hub for finance, manufacturing, and technology. These flights will provide Edmonton businesses direct access to international networks and key industry leaders, strengthening their global competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This announcement comes shortly after WestJet (WS) revealed plans to add direct flights from YEG to Salt Lake City and Chicago<\/a>, along with expanded domestic services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
