VADODARA-<\/strong> European plane maker Airbus and India’s legacy industrialists Tata have established the country’s pioneering private-sector aircraft manufacturing ecosystem for the C295 program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will receive domestically assembled C295 aircraft<\/a> starting in 2026, while both companies explore global export opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata Airbus C295 Export<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tata Advanced Systems Limited partners with Airbus to manufacture 56 C295 aircraft, marking Airbus’s <\/a>first complete production line outside its home countries. This collaboration positions India as the world’s largest C295 operator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, they are exploring ways to keep production running with export seems a feasible option. This will position India <\/a>from being the major aircraft importing company to the one that also exports planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, India lacks a major production line for commercial airliners. Airbus already has final assembly lines in China. Further, they also produce A220s in Canada and Mobile, Alabama (United States).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing <\/a>mainly produces aircraft in the United States, but they do have many parts production factories across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The C295 fleet will modernize the Indian Air Force’s capabilities by replacing outdated Avro transport aircraft. The aircraft’s adaptable design supports military transport and humanitarian missions across India’s diverse geographical conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
