The 285-seater Airbus A330-300 had a 90-minute turnaround before returning to Malaysian shores in 9 hours and 16 minutes airborne as D7 102.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AirAsia announced that the outbound flight had a 90% load factor and the inbound plane was approximately 70% full. D7 101&#8217;s sending off and D7 102&#8217;s arrival was done in the company of some of the airline&#8217;s senior-most staff members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D7 101 has a block time of 9 hours and departs Kuala Lumpur at 7 pm local time before touching down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 11 pm. D7 102 is scheduled to depart Nairobi at 12:30 am EAT and return to its base at 3:10 pm MYT after a block duration of 9 hours 40 minutes. They are the first carrier to operate international flights to and from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maiden flight operated as <strong>AK55 <\/strong>by an Airbus A320-200 (9M-AJT) touched down at Veer Savarkar International Airport at 10:13 am IST on Saturday, November 16, 2024, after a 1-hour 52 minutes hop across the Indian Ocean from Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The return journey commenced after a 35-minute turnaround as AK54 lifted off from Sri Vijaya Puram at 11:19 IST and landed back in the Malaysian capital of KL after 2 hours and 25 minutes in the air. This flight will be operated thrice weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from Malaysian travelers, other Southeast Asians will also have more convenient accessibility to scenic Indian destinations as previously, travellers needed to connect via Bengaluru or Chennai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri Vijaya Puram is the 20th Indian destination served presently by the AirAsia group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned with us.
