AMSTERDAM-<\/strong> In a strategic move, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL)<\/a> is expanding its intercontinental network by launching new direct services from Amsterdam (AMS) to San Diego (SAN), Georgetown (GEO), and Hyderabad (HYD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting May 8, 2025, KLM will operate three weekly flights between Amsterdam and San Diego, making this the airline’s 22nd direct connection between Amsterdam and North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KLM New Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Amsterdam-Georgetown route will commence on June 4, 2025, with two weekly flights that include a short stopover in Sint Maarten (SXM) on the outward journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, KLM will introduce three weekly direct flights between Amsterdam and Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana, on September 2, 2025. This will be the airline’s fourth direct connection between Amsterdam and India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyderabad, known as the ‘pharmaceutical capital of India’, is another strategic addition to KLM’s network, allowing the airline to tap into a growing and dynamic market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Californian city of San Diego represents a large, unserved market for the joint venture of Air France, KLM, Delta<\/a>, and Virgin Atlantic, which has seen steady growth over the past decade. Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, has also been a fast-growing market in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of its strategic expansion, KLM is introducing new direct services between Amsterdam and several key destinations, including San Diego, Georgetown, and Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amsterdam-San Diego <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Effective May 8, 2025, KLM will operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays using the Boeing 787-9 aircraft<\/a>. This aircraft offers 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Comfort Class, and 224 seats in Economy Class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
