Cathay has also secured additional slots for 30 more aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McGowan told <em>Bloomberg <\/em>that the review will consider widebody jets ranging from Boeing 787 to the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=777X\">777-9 (777X)<\/a>. The upcoming order will mark &#8220;the final component&#8221; in a series of recent aircraft acquisitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cathay might place an order with Airbus as well as McGowan said the range from 787-8 to 777-9 which also includes A330neos, A350-900, and A350-1000 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to major Asian carriers, Cathay Pacific operates on hub and spoke model. It has a fleet of 167 aircraft and only 15 are narrowbody <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Airbus\">Airbus <\/a>A321 jets.
