SINGAPORE-<\/strong> Flag carrier Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> is committing S$1.1 billion to upgrade its long-haul cabins across 41 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, enhancing the premium travel experience on its global network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This multi-year program includes all A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range (ULR) models and will debut a new First Class cabin on seven A350-900ULR aircraft, aimed at setting new industry standards on the world\u2019s longest routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines First and Business Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SIA\u2019s new First Class cabin, designed with discerning travelers in mind, promises luxury with enhanced space and comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business Class customers will also experience an elevated product with new seats, providing greater privacy, comfort, and convenience across all 41 Airbus A350 aircraft<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A350-900 First and Business Class cabins, designed with ergonomic features and a spacious layout, will match the seating concepts in SIA\u2019s upcoming Boeing 777-9 (777X) <\/a>fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins will also be refreshed, focusing on comfort and quality improvements for all passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In tandem with the cabin upgrades, the next iteration of SIA\u2019s KrisWorld in-flight entertainment (IFE) system will introduce enhanced personalization and expanded lifestyle options across all cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New in-flight entertainment screens will be available in First and Business Class, offering passengers a refined digital experience that aligns with the upgraded seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEO Remarks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SIA\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Goh Choon Phong, emphasized that this project, built on extensive customer and stakeholder input, reflects SIA’s commitment to providing top-tier travel experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEO says the new First Class and Business Class seats incorporate features that enhance relaxation and work flexibility. Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins will also undergo updates to improve passenger comfort. SIA’s revamped KrisWorld in-flight entertainment (IFE) system will offer increased personalization, further elevating the onboard experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The retrofit program, to be conducted by SIA Engineering Company<\/a> in Singapore, will begin service rollout in the second quarter of 2026 with the first retrofitted A350-900 long-haul aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A350-900ULR variant will follow in the first quarter of 2027. Further, all upgrades are targeted for completion by the end of 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-retrofit, the 34 A350-900<\/strong> long-haul aircraft will be configured with 42 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy, and 192 Economy seats. The seven A350-900ULR<\/strong> aircraft will feature four First Class, 70 Business Class, and 58 Premium Economy seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full details on SIA\u2019s updated long-haul cabin products and the new KrisWorld IFE system will be released ahead of the debut of the retrofitted A350-900 and new Boeing 777-9 fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
