NOIDA-<\/strong> Noida International Airport (NIA)<\/a> is poised to become a key hub in Indian aviation and will offer international routes to Zurich (ZRH), Singapore (SIN), and Dubai (DXB), operated by Lufthansa (LH)<\/a>, Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a>, and other international carriers enhancing global connectivity for India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to these international links, NIA will serve 25 domestic routes connecting major cities, positioning Noida as an essential travel hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lufthansa Singapore Airlines Noida Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Noida Airport (DXN) in Jewar, western Uttar Pradesh, will initiate the second phase of its trial operations on November 15, a critical step towards its official launch. This trial phase, running until December 15, will feature daily flights from Akasa Air (QP), IndiGo (6E)<\/a>, and likely Air India (AI), as confirmed by Arun Veer Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport Limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe testing process will continue for one month. We will upload the data to the DGCA website on December 20 and then apply for aerodrome licensing,\u201d Singh stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will evaluate this data to determine the airport\u2019s readiness for full operations, with hopes of obtaining the necessary licensing by March 20, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If all goes according to plan, Noida International Airport will begin commercial operations on April 17, 2025. On its opening day, the airport expects to handle 30 flights, including 25 domestic flights, three international flights, and two cargo flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial international destinations will connect Jewar to Zurich, Singapore, and Dubai, while domestic flights will link to key cities such as Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Dehradun, with the final list of domestic routes still being finalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To position NIA as a global hub, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa. Singh mentioned that additional airline partnerships are in progress to broaden the airport\u2019s international and domestic reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asia’s Largest Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first phase of development is set to enhance connectivity and promote economic growth in western Uttar Pradesh while alleviating congestion at Delhi\u2019s Indira Gandhi International Airport. With its modern facilities and strategic alliances, Noida International Airport aims to play a significant role in India\u2019s aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first phase of constructing NIA required 1,334 hectares<\/strong> of land from six villages, including 11.8 hectares from local farmers. In appreciation of the farmers\u2019 contributions, a special flight from Noida to Lucknow will be organized for them on the airport’s opening day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other officials will participate in a ceremonial flight to Lucknow to commemorate the airport’s official opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
