According to FlightRadar24 data, American Airlines flight <strong>AA1087 <\/strong>with 116&nbsp;individuals took off from Portland International Jetport (PWM) runway 11 at 2:12 PM local time and was bound for Philadelphia (PHL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Immediately after takeoff, the flight crew received a fire warning from the right engine. Following this they stopped their climb and landed safely back at Portland at 2:34 PM local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft involved in the incident is <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Airbus\">Airbus <\/a>A319-112 as mentioned earlier, registered as N704US. After being airborne for around 20 minutes, the flight crew reported an engine stall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following this, the crew decided to divert to a nearby airport, John Glenn Columbus Intl Airport (CMH) and it landed safely at 8:47 PM local time, after being airborne for an hour. There were 122&nbsp;people onboard the aircraft and all were safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flight was operated by A319-100, registered as N9010R. But some are so serious that they need immediate attention such as diversion and emergency landings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/delta\/\">Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a>&nbsp;Airbus A330 No.1 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/23\/delta-a330-engine-caught-fire-in-boston\/\">engine caught fire<\/a> at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). The incident occurred when Delta was preparing for its flight <strong>DL112 <\/strong>with 152 passengers onboard to Leonardo da Vinci\u2013Fiumicino Airport (FCO), Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on August 31, 2024, Cathay Pacific Airways (CX)&nbsp;flight <strong>CX431<\/strong> with 200 passengers bound for Hong Kong (HKG) experienced <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/31\/cathay-pacific-flight-with-a330-aborts-takeoff-amid-engine-fire\/\">a critical engine failure during takeoff<\/a> at Kaohsiung Airport (KHH) in Taiwan. The flight was operated by Airbus A330-300.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, an American Airlines flight <strong>AA1849<\/strong> from Charlotte (CLT) to Portland (PDX) with Airbus A321 aircraft on Jan 25, 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2024\/01\/28\/american-airlines-a321-makes-emergency-landing-after-engine-stalled\/\">reported that no.1 engine stalled mid-air<\/a> and they were forced to make an emergency landing at Minneapolis (MSP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned with us.
