Despite these challenges, operational revenue demonstrated strong growth, climbing 13.6% year-over-year to reach \u20b916,969.6 crore, though it fell 13% from the previous quarter&#8217;s \u20b919,570.7 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline maintained relatively stable operating performance, with EBITDAR reaching \u20b92,434 crore, showing only a marginal decrease from \u20b92,446.5 crore in the previous year&#8217;s corresponding quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>InterGlobe Aviation, parent of IndiGo reported that passenger ticket revenues increased 9.9% to \u20b914,359.2 crore in Q2FY25, while ancillary revenues grew 20.9% to \u20b91,875 crore compared to Q2FY24. <strong>Total expenses surged 21.9%<\/strong> to \u20b918,666.1 crore during the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline&#8217;s yield per passenger improved to \u20b94.55 from \u20b94.44 year-over-year, though the load factor decreased marginally to 82.6% from 83.3%. IndiGo continues to leverage India&#8217;s growing aviation market while maintaining its position as a cost leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pieter highlighted that IndiGo is set to launch its business-class service in two weeks, expanding its market presence. Additionally, its <strong>new loyalty program, IndiGo BluChip<\/strong>, has received favorable customer response, indicating strategic moves to enhance revenue streams and customer engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IndiGo expanded its fleet to <strong>410 aircraft<\/strong>, adding 28 passenger aircraft during the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fleet composition includes 41 A320ceo, 201 A320neo, 112 A321neo, 45 ATRs, three A321 freighters, Six Boeing 737s leased from <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Qatar+Airways\">Qatar Airways<\/a>, and Two 777s leased from <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Turkish\">Turkish Airlines<\/a>. IndiGo, Vistara, and SpiceJet each received threats against seven flights, while <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/air-india\/\">Air India<\/a> reported threats to six flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The targeted IndiGo flights included routes connecting Kozhikode to Dammam (6E 87), Udaipur to Delhi (6E 2099), Delhi to Istanbul (6E 11), Jeddah to Mumbai (6E 58), Mumbai to Istanbul (6E 17), Hyderabad to Chandigarh (6E 108), and Pune to Jodhpur (6E 133).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation has escalated significantly, with more than 275 flights receiving bomb threats within 12 days. On October 24 alone, over 80 flights faced similar threats, predominantly delivered through social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has initiated action by requesting data from social media platforms Meta and X regarding the hoax bomb threat messages.
