After being airborne for around 12 hours, the flight diverted to Iqaluit Airport and landed safely at 9:20 AM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iqaluit Airport is one of the most isolated airports in <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Canada\">Canada<\/a>. It has around 20 daily flights and is situated in the northernmost part of the country and outside its mainland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope that Air India takes care of their passengers and they don&#8217;t face issues faced previously when Air India flight diverted to a remote Russian airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flight was operated by Boeing 777-300ER, registered as VT-ALM. However, as a responsible operator, Air India takes all threats seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to its customers. Air India is fully cooperating with authorities to identify those responsible for these threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company intends to hold the perpetrators accountable for disrupting operations and inconveniencing passengers. The aircraft, carrying 132 passengers from Jaipur, was scheduled to continue to Bengaluru after a stopover in Ayodhya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ayodhya Airport Director Vinod Kumar confirmed the emergency, which stemmed from a threat received via social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on Monday, Air India flight AI119 from Mumbai (BOM) to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=New+York\">New York (JFK)\u00a0<\/a>was diverted to Delhi (DEL) following a bomb threat received via X by Mumbai airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior police officer at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Delhi\">Delhi airport\u00a0<\/a>urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, promising further updates as they become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An Air India spokesperson stated that the diversion was executed on instructions from the government\u2019s security regulatory committee.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This incident follows a recent pattern of bomb threats targeting airlines and airports, many of which have proven false.
