LONDON-<\/strong> Wizz Air (W9) <\/a>announces the introduction of its first Airbus A321XLR (Extra Long Range) aircraft to Wizz Air UK’s fleet at London Gatwick (LGW)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft will commence operations in March 2025, inaugurating a direct route from London Gatwick to Jeddah (JED), Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new aircraft model enables Wizz Air to offer direct flights to distant destinations at lower fares, expanding its intercontinental reach. The London Gatwick to Jeddah route, lasting nearly 7 hours, marks the beginning of Wizz Air’s long-haul expansion strategy using the A321XLR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
