SINGAPORE-<\/strong> A low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SQ), Scoot (TR) <\/a>flight from Singapore (SIN) to Guangzhou (CAN) experienced severe turbulence on September 6, resulting in injuries to seven individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred as the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner<\/a> approached its destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scoot Guangzhou Flight Turbulence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Flight TR100 departed Singapore <\/a>at approximately 5:45 AM and landed in Guangzhou at 9:10 AM local time without further incident. Upon arrival, four passengers and three crew members received immediate medical attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of 8:30 PM local time on September 6, one passenger remained hospitalized for further observation. Scoot has committed to providing necessary support and assistance to affected individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight data from FlightRadar24 <\/em>revealed that the aircraft was cruising at 35,000 feet at a speed of about 500 knots when it suddenly dropped 25 feet and decelerated to 262 knots. The plane subsequently returned to its original altitude and speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scoot has not disclosed the total number of passengers and crew on board the flight. The airline emphasized that the welfare of its passengers and cabin crew remains its top priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 5, 2024, Turkish Airlines (TK)<\/a> flight TK24 from Istanbul to Taipei experienced severe turbulence mid-flight<\/a> on its route, resulting in injuries to six people onboard. The incident occurred approximately two hours before landing, likely near Hong Kong on China’s eastern coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Boeing 777-300ER, registered as TC-JJE, departed Istanbul (IST) at 11:19 AM UTC and landed safely in Taipei (TPE) around 10:00 AM UTC. The 14-year-old aircraft carried 214 passengers and 17 crew members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four passengers and two cabin crew members sustained minor injuries during the turbulence. Upon arrival at Taipei Airport, medical teams provided immediate assistance. While initial assessments revealed no serious injuries, two passengers requested hospital transfer for further evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkish Airlines operates daily and thrice-weekly flights between Istanbul and Taipei City, Taiwan. The airline’s Press Counsel and Senior Vice President of Media Relations confirmed the incident on social media platform X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
