LONDON-<\/strong> James Asquith, the CEO of Global Airlines<\/a>, a UK-based startup carrier on Today (August 18, 2024) shared the photo of their first Airbus A380<\/a> with Giant letters and numbers signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent media reports reveal that the London-based airline has delayed its launch to next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Airlines First A380<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

James Asquith, a Guinness World Record Holder<\/strong> for traveling to 196 countries across the world on Sunday morning shared the photo and wrote,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Such a fun day, with a great group of people! Those damn giant letter\/number signs must have blown over 100 times in the wind though!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 35-year-old has more than a decade of experience in the travel industry. He is also the founder and CEO of Holiday Swap, a travel company that started in 2017. He has been a featured author for various renowned global publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Airlines advances its operational preparations as its first aircraft 9H-GLOBL is based at Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK). The company has initiated the application of its distinctive livery on the plane and is finalizing plans for interior refurbishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upcoming maintenance work, scheduled to begin shortly, will further propel the airline toward its goal of launching passenger services in the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Airlines forges partnerships with major established aviation industry leaders and innovative new brands. This strategic collaboration aims to create a distinctive in-flight experience, setting the airline apart in the competitive aviation market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the airline plans to operate transatlantic flights. It aims to fly the busiest and most competitive routes such as London-Los Angeles and London-New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flights will be operated by Portuguese wet-lease specialist Hi Fly who has huge experience in A380 operations. In fact, it’s one of the only 15 airlines that has ever operated the A380s. As of 2024, 10 of 15 airlines operate A380, and Emirates (EK)<\/a> is the largest operator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
