ATLANTA-<\/strong> Finally, Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> extends its free Wi-Fi service to select long-haul international flights this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Atlanta-based airline has partnered with Viasat and T-Mobile to offer fast, complimentary internet connectivity, advancing towards its goal of providing free Wi-Fi across its global fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Wi-fi on International Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Delta offers streaming-quality Wi-Fi on nearly 700 aircraft<\/strong>, covering over 90% of its domestic mainline fleet. The company projects that most customers will access this service by year-end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design, emphasizes the airline’s commitment to enhancing in-flight experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlights Delta’s unparalleled scale in implementing free Wi-Fi, crediting the company’s teams for navigating the complex rollout process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Air Lines implements a phased approach for free Wi-Fi on Viasat-equipped widebody aircraft, mirroring its successful domestic strategy. The airline prioritizes service quality and reliability, introducing the feature route-by-route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the international Wi-Fi portal will not require a SkyMiles login. Later in 2024, all Viasat-equipped aircraft will transition to the Delta Sync Wi-Fi experience, offering personalized content through SkyMiles membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
