SOUTH BEND-<\/strong> Breeze Airways (MX)<\/a> expands its network by launching two new routes from South Bend International Airport (SBN) in Indiana to Florida destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The low-cost carrier will connect South Bend to Orlando (MCO) and Fort Myers (RSW), enhancing travel options for the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breeze Airways Orlando and Fort Myers Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Orlando route will begin operations on November 7, with flights scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays. Fort Myers service will commence on February 5, 2025, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike Daigle, South Bend International CEO, and Executive Director expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are thrilled to welcome Breeze to SBN and offer our community more options to easily get to fun in the Sunshine State. As we continue to push the envelope to be the premier choice for travel, the opportunities Breeze brings as a new airline partner are exciting.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb emphasized the significance of this expansion for the state: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With Breeze’s decision to expand service out of South Bend, we can<\/em> offer increased regional connectivity into and out of our great state. Indiana is truly a crossroads to destinations near and far. I’m thrilled to see these increased opportunities for customers to experience all Indiana offers.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breeze Airways International Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Breeze hasn\u2019t fully become an international airline yet, but they\u2019re close. They\u2019ve got the okay from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) <\/a>to run some international flights. Neeleman thinks they\u2019ll be all set by late summer. This means they can start selling tickets for winter trips to new places outside the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline wants to fly to Latin America and the Caribbean first. Later, they plan to go to Europe and Hawaii. Breeze calls itself \u201cpremium leisure\u201d and flies to 56 cities now, FlightGlobal <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019re looking at starting flights to the Caribbean and Europe<\/strong> from Providence, Rhode Island. This city is near New York and Boston. They also want to fly to Ireland and the UK from other East Coast cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of 2024, Breeze will have about 45 planes. Most will be A220s, but they\u2019ll also have some Embraer E190s. These smaller planes will mostly be used for sports team flights. The A220 can reach many places in Europe, like Iceland, Ireland, England, Scotland, and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breeze started flying in May 2021. They made their first profit in March and April of the following year. Passengers seem to like their three types of seats: Nice, Nicer, and Nicest. Neeleman says Breeze isn\u2019t just a cheap airline. They make good money from extra services and have happy customers. Usually, airlines don\u2019t do well in both areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
