5:10 PM-<\/strong> Libya’s Berniq Airways (NB) commits to modernizing its fleet by ordering six A320neo <\/a>Family aircraft from Airbus. This purchase builds on the airline’s existing fleet of six A320s, signaling a strategic move to enhance its regional and international operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5:06 PM-<\/strong> Today, Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, announced that Avolon has chosen GTF engines to power 80 Airbus <\/a>A320neo family aircraft. This order brings Avolon’s fleet to 158 GTF-powered aircraft, with options for engines to power 80 more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4:24 PM-<\/strong> ATR and Ethiopian Airlines have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop aircraft maintenance and pilot training programs in Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4:21 PM-<\/strong> Flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al-Ghaith reveals to Arab News that the airline is in preliminary discussions for its largest-ever single-aisle jet order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:55 PM-<\/strong> Boeing has disclosed that Qatar Airways (QR) is an undisclosed company that placed an order for 20 777-9 aircraft. With this Qatar Airways now has a backlog of 100 777X aircraft. 2:50 PM-<\/strong> Embraer has not annouced any new orders at FIA2024. But during its event it revealed some impirtant updates to E1 and E2 aircraft, including bigger luggage bins, mood lights in cabin and new seat options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:00 PM-<\/strong> GE Aerospace announced that American Airlines (AA)<\/a> has confirmed an order for 180 CF34-8E engines, along with spares, to power its fleet of 90 new Embraer 175 regional jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
