ATLANTA-<\/strong> In a swift response to a social media firestorm, Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> has announced a significant change to its flight attendant uniform policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision comes after a passenger’s post ignited controversy over two flight attendants wearing Palestinian pins, which the passenger erroneously described as “Hamas badges.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Flight Attendant Uniform Rule Change<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The incident, which occurred on July 10, quickly gained traction online, forcing the Atlanta-based carrier to reassess its stance on personal expression through uniform accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting Monday, Delta employees will be prohibited from wearing pins representing any country or nationality other than the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are proud of our diverse base of employees and customers and the foundation of our brand, which is to connect the world and provide a premium experience,” Delta stated. “We are taking this step to help ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
