HAMBURG-<\/strong> Qatar Airways (QR) <\/a>inaugural flight to Hamburg Airport (HAM) <\/a>in Germany landed today (July 1, 2024), marking the start of daily non-stop flights from Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha, recognized this year by Skytrax <\/em>as the Best Airport and Retail in the World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamburg is now Qatar Airways’ fifth destination in Germany<\/a>, joining Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and Munich, to meet the strong demand in the market. The World\u2019s Best Airline (Skytrax 2024) experienced a 62% increase in outbound passengers from Germany in 2023 compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways Hamburg Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This new route expands the airline\u2019s network to over 170 destinations <\/strong>worldwide, connecting travelers from northern Germany to Doha and beyond, while enhancing Hamburg’s accessibility to global travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new flights will also bolster economic and trade relations between northern Germany, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. They are anticipated to contribute up to 11% growth in Hamburg\u2019s cargo sector compared to last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first flight was welcomed by several dignitaries, including Dr. Peter Tschentscher, First Mayor of Hamburg; Mr. Ali Al-Boainian, Charge de Affairs of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Berlin; Mr. Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways; Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar; H.E.
