SINGAPORE-<\/strong> World’s best carrier, Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> has inaugurated new flights from Singapore (SIN) to London Gatwick (LHR)<\/a> on June 21, 2024 (yesterday). The flight was operated by 6.9-year-old Airbus A350-900 aircraft, registered as 9V-SMQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London’s Gatwick Ground Services (GGS)\u00a0welcomed the flight. GGS is an official partner for ground handling services including cleaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines London Gatwick Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Southeast Asian carrier will operate 5X weekly flights between Singapore and London Gatwick Airport. The newly launched flight will complement the existing daily flights to London Heathrow Airport (LHR). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This addition, alongside the existing four daily services to Heathrow Airport<\/a>, will increase the total number of weekly services to the UK\u2019s capital from 28 to 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight departed from\u00a0Singapore<\/a>\u00a0to Gatwick Airport at 23:55 hrs. (local time) on June 21, 2024, arriving in\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0at 06:25 hrs. (local time) on June 22, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The return leg, flight SQ309, will operate from Gatwick Airport to\u00a0Singapore\u00a0on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The inaugural return flight is scheduled to depart at 10:15 hrs. (local time) on June 22, 2024, and will arrive in Singapore at 06:20 hrs. on June 23, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, the Singapore Airlines A350 <\/a>has a total of 253 seats across three cabin classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inclusion of Gatwick expands the number of European destinations in the SQ network to 141, underscoring its strong commitment to enhancing connectivity in this crucial region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 New Routes to Gatwick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this week, the Gatwick Airport revealed that this summer they will add 13 new long-haul routes (one of them is Singapore) and one domestic route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travelers arriving from Singapore will enjoy the excellent connectivity offered by\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0Gatwick, facilitated by our recently revamped train station that offers direct access to the heart of\u00a0London<\/a>\u00a0in under 30 minutes. Additionally, it provides services to renowned cities like Cambridge and the picturesque south coast of the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a different update, Singapore<\/a>\u00a0Airlines from January 15 to January 31, 2025, Singapore to\u00a0Frankfurt<\/a>\u00a0flight SQ326\/325 will see the A350-900XWB replacing the Airbus A380.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
