CONNECTICUT-<\/strong> Today (June 20, 2024), Chicago-based carrier, United Airlines (UA)<\/a> flight UA325 from Bradley International Airport (BDL) to Denver International Airport (DEN)<\/a> returned as some part of the aircraft fell off after takeoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were 125 passengers and five crew members onboard the flight. Following the incident flight was canceled for today and the airline is looking for other flights to fly passengers to Denver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Airlines A320 Part Falls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airline has given an official statement and it said, ‘Flight 325, en route from Bradley International Airport to Denver International Airport, returned safely to Bradley to address an engine issue. A portion of the engine\u2019s sound-dampening outer liner was found on the runway.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The US Aviation watchdog, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) <\/a>has reported the incident and will investigate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24 data, United Airlines Flight UA325 took off from Bradley Airport at 12:03 PM UTC, and shortly after takeoff flight crew reported some unaware noise, and later a part of a “sound-dampening outer liner” beneath the cowling was found on the runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To burn extra fuel, the aircraft flew in random patterns near the airport before landing safely back at Windsor Bay at 12:47 PM UTC. The flight remained airborne for roughly 45 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight was operated by Airbus A320, registered as N490UA. It is a 22.4-year-old aircraft and is powered by IAE V2500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 27, 2024, passengers on board\u00a0United Airlines (UA)\u00a0<\/a>Flight UA2091 operated by\u00a0Airbus A320\u00a0<\/a>bound for Seattle (SEA), experienced a scare as smoke started to pour out near the wing of the aircraft from the engine at O\u2019Hare Airport (ORD) in\u00a0Chicago<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, a\u00a0Southwest Airlines (WN)\u00a0<\/a>flight aborted takeoff after an engine fire at Lubbock, Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
