MUMBAI-<\/strong> Recently, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 BBJ<\/a> was spotted at Ostrava Mosnov Airport (OSR), Czechia in a unique livery that belongs to the Adani Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gautam Adani, one of the richest men in Asia <\/a>and once featured in Forbes’s Top 3 Richest Men in the World Billionaire list is the founder of Adani Group, which owns the plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adani Boeing 737 MAX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Boeing 737 MAX 8 BBJ powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines spotted by Jan Jurecka, a planespotter, and avgeek is registered as N516BJ<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Planespotters.net<\/em>, the aircraft is four years and seven months old and has gone through various test registrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, it was first delivered to TVPX Trust Services, which provides trust services for U.S. aircraft registration. These specialized trusts grant customers the authority and responsibility to directly control business activities related to the aircraft’s operations and maintenance, as well as decisions regarding financing, leasing, and selling, all in compliance with FAA<\/a> requirements and applicable law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year in December, LOTIS IFSC Private Limited took delivery of the aircraft. LOTIS IFSC Private Limited is a privately owned company formed under Ambuja Cements, which is now owned by Adani to oversee the leasing of aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOTIS IFSC Private Limited was formed in September 2023 and is headquartered in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aircraft Underwent Modifications<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft has an extra fuel tank to enhance its range and has undergone cabin fitting as per Adani’s requirement at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Maintenace facility, which is located between three countries, France<\/a>, Germany, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the latest update, the aircraft is due for delivery and will be registered as VT-RSA<\/strong>. However, the exact date of delivery is yet to be determined. It last made its flight on June 18, 2024, from Ostrava to Basel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Boeing’s official business jet website, the Boeing 737-8 BBJ can occupy up to 19 passengers and fly 6,465\u00a0nmi (11,975\u00a0km)<\/strong> or can stay airborne for around 14 hours based on the payload, covering the majority of global destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from Adani, Mukesh Ambani also owns the Boeing 737 MAX 9 BBJ aircraft, a bigger variant with a slightly lesser range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amabani’s Private Jet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aviation A2Z<\/a><\/em> first reported about Ambani owing Boeing 737 MAX 9 BBJ, the only entity in the world to own a type with a sealed mid-cabin exit door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Boeing 737 MAX 9 BBJ will join the fleet of three existing aircraft. Furthermore, this includes two Embraer ERJ 145s and one\u00a0Airbus\u00a0<\/a>A319.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to our source, the aircraft is in France to get the advanced VIP interiors and other modifications. The aircraft will likely fit with premium first-class seats, stunning interiors, and customized galleys. After all, it\u2019s the plane that belongs to Reliance and Ambanis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Ambani’s and Adani’s Boeing BBJs are undergoing cabin modifications in facilities located at Basel Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, the Ambani’s 737-9 has a slightly lesser range of 6,355\u00a0nmi (11,770\u00a0km) but carries a high payload and has a larger cabin and cargo section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Business and Commercial Aircraft data, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 owned by Adani is valued at $110.5 Million<\/strong>, while Ambani’s 737 MAX 9 is priced at $118.5 Million<\/strong>. These planes are categorized as Ultra-long-range business jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
