This SAF is made from waste oil sourced from restaurant leftovers, commonly referred to as &#8220;gutter oil.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After collection and processing, this waste oil is converted into bio-jet fuel at Sinopec&#8217;s Zhenhai Refining &amp; Chemical Company, which operates the country&#8217;s first industrial facility for producing bio-jet fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=SAF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)<\/a> is blended with the widely used Jet A-1 aviation kerosene at a 40 percent ratio.
