MALTA-<\/strong> easyJet (U2)<\/a> has announced a new year-round route between Liverpool (LPL) and Malta (MLA), with flights starting on December 10, 2024. The route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new Malta route is the fourth addition to easyJet\u2019s Liverpool network in the past year, following new services to Enfidha (NBE) in Tunisia, Hurghada (HRG) in Egypt, and Corfu (CFU) in Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

easyJet Liverpool to Malta Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Malta, known for its beautiful coastlines, crystal clear waters, and over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, is an archipelago in the heart of the Mediterranean. It offers a wealth of opportunities for cultural getaways, relaxing beach breaks, and scuba diving adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Currently, only 9% of all flights to Malta from the North West depart from Liverpool. This route has substantial potential for growth, allowing more passengers from across the North West to enjoy the advantages of flying to Malta from Liverpool for their holidays.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


easyJet currently has seven aircraft based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, catering to approximately 2 million passengers annually. The airline operates up to 340 flights per week to 27 destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Maintenance Facility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

easyJet and SR Technics have finalized an agreement for the airline to acquire the SR Technics maintenance facility in Malta<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Dr. Robert Abela, took place today at the maintenance hangar, marking the handover of the facility to easyJet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

easyJet will now conduct heavy maintenance on its expanding fleet of over 340 aircraft and integrate the facility’s workforce of more than 400 employees into the easyJet Group. The six-bay aircraft maintenance facility has been providing heavy maintenance for easyJet’s fleet for several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
