NEW YORK-<\/strong> JetBlue (B6)<\/a> announced the expansion of its transatlantic routes with the launch of new, nonstop flights to Edinburgh (EDI) from New York (JFK)<\/a>, starting May 22, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The daily summer-seasonal service will run from New York\u2019s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Edinburgh Airport (EDI) through September 30, 2024. This new route introduces JetBlue\u2019s signature low fares and excellent service to Edinburgh, the UK’s second most popular tourist destination. It is only the second direct service from JFK to Edinburgh, providing much-needed competition for travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJetBlue has revolutionized transatlantic travel by offering low fares and great service in markets previously dominated by high-fare legacy carriers,\u201d said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue. \u201cWe are excited to connect Scotland and the Northeast this summer with our award-winning Mint and core services, bringing the unique JetBlue experience to Edinburgh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Lamont, UK Government Minister for Scotland, added, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur relationship with the US is special, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors to Scotland and the wider UK from North America each year. The US is also our top export market. This new direct JetBlue route from Edinburgh to New York City will strengthen ties between our two countries. Last month, I participated in the Tartan Day celebrations in Manhattan, promoting our key exports and rich culture. This flight route will make it easier for US visitors to explore our unique destination and for Scots to visit the Big Apple and beyond.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

JetBlue will operate daily flights to Edinburgh using the Airbus A321neo<\/a> with Mint aircraft, featuring 16 redesigned Mint Suite\u00ae seats, 144 core seats, and Airbus\u2019 Enhanced Cabin with XL Bins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A321neo with Mint offers an average 20 percent increase in fuel efficiency and up to 500 additional nautical miles in range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JetBlue in a release to Aviation A2Z stated, ‘To celebrate the successful expansion of its transatlantic service to Edinburgh, JetBlue is offering limited roundtrip fares from New York starting at $499<\/strong> for the award-winning core experience and $2,999 <\/strong>for the premium Mint experience.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
