SINGAPORE-<\/strong> Severe turbulence on a Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> flight from London Heathrow (LHR) resulted in one fatality and several injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Singapore-bound Boeing 777-300ER <\/a>was diverted to Bangkok (BKK), landing at 15:45 local time (08:45 GMT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines Flight Turbulence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Flight SQ 321<\/strong> had 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board, according to a statement from the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the deceased’s family,” the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline also noted that it is collaborating with Thai authorities to provide medical assistance to passengers and is sending a team to Bangkok to offer additional support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thai authorities have dispatched ambulances and emergency teams to Suvarnabhumi Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
