FORT WORTH-<\/strong> On May 16, 2024, an American Airlines (AA)<\/a> flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Chicago (ORD) had to make an emergency landing at Denver (DEN) due to a medical <\/a>emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First responders met the aircraft upon landing and transported the passenger to the hospital. The current condition of the passenger is not known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines Emergency Landing in Denver<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following the incident, the flight quickly resumed its journey to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Press statement, the Fort Worth-based carrier apologized to its customers for the inconvenience and expressed gratitude for their understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“American Airlines flight 1585, traveling from Los Angeles (LAX)<\/a> to Chicago (ORD), diverted to Denver International Airport (DEN) due to a medical emergency involving a passenger. Upon landing safely at DEN, first responders transported the passenger to the hospital. The flight is scheduled to continue to ORD shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their understanding.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to FlightRadar24, the American Flight AA1585 took off from LAX at 9 PM UTC. After being airborne for almost One hour and 30 minutes, flight crew reported medical emeregency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, registered as N950NN made an emergency landing at DEN at around 10:57 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fllight took off again after being on ground for around 1 hour and 30 minutes and reached Chicago at 2:24 AM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, Air India (AI)<\/a> flight from Delhi (DEL) to Chicago (ORD) had to perform an emergency landing at Tashkent International Airport (TAS) due to a medical crisis involving an 86-year-old female passenger who suffered a heart attack mid-flight, as reported by Uzbekistan Airports<\/em> on Telegram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India flight AI127 is operated by Boeing 777-300ER<\/a>. On May 8, 2024, Air India deployed VT-ALK to serve this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft touched down at Tashkent airport at 06:44 (GMT+5), and the affected passenger, accompanied by a companion, was promptly transported by ambulance to the Republican Scientific Centre for Emergency Medical Care for urgent treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uzbekistan Airports reported, \u201cFollowing the resolution of the medical emergency, preparations were made for the Air India aircraft to resume its journey to Chicago <\/a>from Tashkent airport.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
