SAVANNAH-<\/strong> Gulfstream Aerospace, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, has announced today that the all-new Gulfstream G700<\/a> has achieved European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type certification, following its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)<\/a> type certification granted on March 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before obtaining FAA certification, Gulfstream had announced significant performance enhancements for the G700 in terms of range, speed, and cabin altitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gulfstream G700 EASA Approval<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream, expressed pride in the G700’s growing list of certifications, stating, “The Gulfstream team is delighted to include EASA in our series of G700 certification achievements. Throughout the extensive flight test program, the G700 garnered exceptional feedback worldwide for its spacious cabin, versatility, and performance. With this EASA <\/a>certification, we can now fulfill deliveries of the G700 to a broader range of international customers, marking another milestone in the expansion of our next-generation fleet worldwide.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft’s range has been extended to 7,750 nautical miles\/14,353 kilometers at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nm\/12,316 km at Mach 0.90, surpassing original estimates by 250 nm\/463 km at both speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the G700’s maximum operating speed has been elevated from Mach 0.925 to Mach 0.935, establishing it as the fastest aircraft in the Gulfstream fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, its already impressive cabin altitude, the lowest in business aviation, has been further reduced to 2,840 ft\/866 m while cruising at 41,000 ft\/12,497 m, ensuring enhanced comfort for passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enhanced Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the G700’s FAA certification has validated two additional performance enhancements, providing customers with increased operational flexibility and greater access to airports: a balanced field length takeoff distance of 5,995 ft\/1,829 m and a landing distance of 3,150 ft\/960 m (under standard ISA conditions, at sea level), both of which are shorter than initially announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The G700 boasts the most spacious cabin in the business aviation sector, offering options such as a grand suite with an expanded lavatory or the industry’s largest ultragalley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can be customized with up to five living areas and boasts whisper-quiet noise levels, 20 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows, and 100% fresh air circulation without recirculation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
