NEW YORK-<\/strong> JetBlue (B6)<\/a>, known as New York’s Hometown Airline\u00ae, and Etihad Airways (EY)<\/a>, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have announced the introduction of loyalty benefits starting May 8, 2024, as part of their enduring codeshare partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement between the two airlines was commemorated today at Dubai\u2019s<\/a> Arabian Travel Market (ATM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JetBlue and Etihad Codeshare<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of this collaboration, members enrolled in JetBlue\u2019s TrueBlue loyalty program and Etihad Guest, the loyalty program of Etihad Airways, can now accrue and utilize points within their preferred program when traveling across the networks of either airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Potter, managing director of Etihad Guest, expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership, stating, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJetBlue has been a valued collaborator for Etihad for nearly a decade, and we are excited to expand this collaboration to our loyalty programs, benefiting members of both airlines. We eagerly anticipate welcoming and rewarding TrueBlue members. This also underscores Etihad\u2019s dedication to the U.S. market, following the recent launch of our nonstop service between Abu Dhabi and Boston, and the deployment of our popular A380 aircraft on the New York route, expanding capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christopher Buckner, vice president of loyalty and partnerships at JetBlue, echoed this sentiment, noting, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a longstanding partner since 2014, we are delighted to introduce loyalty benefits as part of our codeshare partnership with Etihad. This extension of our partnership offers both JetBlue TrueBlue and Etihad Guest members additional opportunities to earn and redeem rewards on travel, enhancing the travel experience across both airlines\u2019 extensive global networks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guest Miles and TrueBlue Loyalty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration enhances the array of redemption options available through both programs. Etihad Guest miles are redeemable for diverse experiences ranging from flights, and hotel stays worldwide to converting miles into a reward card for shopping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, JetBlue introduced its updated TrueBlue loyalty program last year, providing members with increased value through features such as status tracking tiles, Perks You Pick\u00ae, expanded Mosaic levels for the airline\u2019s most dedicated travelers, and more avenues to earn perks and status than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognizing the unique preferences of each traveler, TrueBlue empowers customers to select the rewards that align best with their priorities, enabling them to accumulate points through various activities such as flying, purchasing, driving, or shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These loyalty offerings build upon the nearly decade-long partnership between the two airlines, facilitating access between New York (JFK)<\/a> and Boston (BOS)<\/a> within Etihad\u2019s global network comprising over 70 destinations and access to more than 40 destinations across JetBlue\u2019s network throughout the Americas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
