The inaugural flights departed for <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Karachi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Karachi (KHI)<\/a>, Pakistan, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Mumbai\">Mumbai (BOM)<\/a>, India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July 1987, two years later, Emirates acquired its inaugural owned aircraft\u2014the A6-EKA, an Airbus A310-304.
