DUBAI-<\/strong> Emirates (EK) <\/a>has reinstated its presence in Phnom Penh (PNH)<\/a> in Cambodia with a daily scheduled flight via Singapore (SIN)<\/a>. This return marks an expansion of Emirates’ Far East network to 21 destinations and elevates its Singapore operations to four daily flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration of the newly added service from Singapore was celebrated at the airline’s exclusive Airport Lounge with a ceremonial cake-cutting event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates Resumes Phnom Penh Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The esteemed gathering included His Excellency Jamal Abdulla Mohammed Bin Abdulwahab AlSuwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Singapore, Vy. Samdy, First Secretary of the Cambodia Embassy in Singapore; and Steven Ler, President of the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS). Leading the ceremony were Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales and Country Management, and Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Far East, along with Rashid Al Fajeer, Emirates’ Area Manager in Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft<\/a>, Emirates’ flight EK348 <\/strong>landed at Phnom Penh International Airport on May 1st, where it was greeted with a traditional Cambodian dance performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distinguished Emirates delegation, accompanied by international media representatives, was warmly received by His Excellency Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, and Cyril Girot, Chief Executive Officer of Cambodia Airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Executive Remarks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nabil Sultan, reflecting on Emirates’ renewed operations in Phnom Penh, remarked,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are thrilled to reintroduce this distinctive gateway to our already expansive Far East network. Emirates’ daily flight EK348 departs Dubai at 02:30hrs and arrives in Singapore at 14:05hrs. Subsequently, it departs Singapore at 15:35hrs, reaching Phnom Penh at 16:35hrs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The return flight, EK349, departs Phnom Penh at 20:50hrs, arrives in Singapore at 23:50hrs, and then departs Singapore at 01:40hrs the following day, arriving in Dubai at 04:55hrs. All times mentioned are local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 2,420 tonnes of cargo with SkyCargo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Over the past two years, Emirates SkyCargo<\/a> has managed 2,420 tonnes of cargo to and from Phnom Penh through a road feeder service and collaborative partnerships, establishing connectivity via Thailand and Malaysia to integrate with the airline’s extensive global network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the introduction of daily passenger flights, Emirates SkyCargo is set to enhance operations and fortify trade connections between Cambodia and the global marketplace, offering a weekly capacity of 300 tonnes to key destinations such as the UAE, USA, Canada<\/a>, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the market anticipates substantial expansion, Emirates SkyCargo is poised to assist Cambodian enterprises in exporting their merchandise worldwide through its cutting-edge hub in Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreseen commodities include apparel, ready-to-wear garments, fashion items, fresh fruits, chilled meats, and other perishables, all of which will be swiftly, efficiently, and reliably transported via the airline’s diverse portfolio of specialized products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
