MIAMI-<\/strong> Global Crossing Airlines Group, referred to as GlobalX (G6)<\/a>, recognized as the nation’s swiftest expanding charter airline, has received approval from the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to augment its current authorization of 16 aircraft to 20 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This extension in fleet authorization empowers GlobalX to incorporate two (2) Airbus <\/a>A320 and two (2) Airbus A321 passenger aircraft into its fleet by Summer 2024, subject to FAA approvals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Airlines Enhanced Fleet <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These additional aircraft are poised to fortify GlobalX’s redirected strategy to expand its ACMI passenger charter business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris Jamroz, Executive Chairman of GlobalX, remarked, “This increased authorization is a pivotal milestone in our journey towards sustainable profitability and our aspiration to become America’s foremost charter airline, setting new industry standards for on-time performance and reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GlobalX is a US 121 domestic flag and supplemental airline operating Airbus A320<\/a> family aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specializing in passenger ACMI and charter services, GlobalX serves markets across the US, Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America. Additionally, GlobalX has commenced ACMI cargo operations with the A321 freighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GlobalX increasingly relies on the ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) model as a central part of its business strategy, with 70% of its block hours operated under ACMI contracts during the third quarter. This marks a significant increase from the 38% of block hours operated under ACMI arrangements during the same quarter last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the summer travel season in the Northern Hemisphere, GlobalX served as the operating carrier for several airlines, including Wizz Air, Lynx Air, TUI, Caribbean Airlines, and Canada Jetlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
