PARIS-<\/strong> Air France (AF)<\/a> is actively expanding its global network with new flights to the US and increasing the frequency on existing routes in response to continuous demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With France gearing up to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games<\/strong>, of which Air France proudly serves as a partner, the airline’s teams are fully committed to accommodating the delegations, athletes, and enthusiasts who will be arriving for this monumental event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air France US Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By summer 2024, Air France will be expanding its presence in North America with the following initiatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Resuming daily flights to Minneapolis (Minnesota).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Inaugurating a new direct service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle<\/a> and Phoenix (Arizona), operating three times a week aboard a Boeing 787-9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Extending the direct service to Raleigh-Durham (North Carolina) was introduced in winter 2023, and the weekly flights increased to 7 from the previous 3 during the winter season.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Air France will operate 2 special flights between Los Angeles (USA) and Nice (France<\/a>), utilizing Airbus A350-900s equipped with the latest travel cabins for the Cannes Film Festival.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    During the summer, Air France will offer over 210 weekly flights to the United States, serving a total of 17 destinations, along with close to 60 flights to 5 Canadian cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Global Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In addition to expanding its North American network, the airline has significant plans for summer 2024, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Extending the daily service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Abu Dhabi<\/a> (United Arab Emirates), which was introduced in winter 2023, throughout the summer of 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Resuming the direct service to Dar Es Salam (Tanzania), which was inaugurated in summer 2023, with 3 weekly flights as a continuation of Zanzibar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Increased flights to Japan, including 2 daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo-Haneda and 4 weekly flights to Tokyo-Narita.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Enhanced frequencies on key African and Indian Ocean routes, with daily flights to Cotonou (Benin) and Antananarivo (Madagascar), two daily flights to Cameroon (shared between Yaound\u00e9 and Douala), and flights to Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo) now operated with an Airbus A350-900. Overall, the airline’s long-haul capacity will increase by 9% compared to 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Rolling out New Long-haul Cabins<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Air France will continue renovating its 777-300ERs and Airbus A350-900s<\/a>, featuring the latest long-haul cabins, throughout the summer. These upgraded cabins in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes represent the airline’s commitment to offering a new and enhanced travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Following the implementation of these new cabins on routes such as New York-JFK, New York-Newark, Washington DC, Boston, Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok, Dakar, Tokyo-Haneda, Hong Kong, Seoul-Incheon, Shanghai, and Johannesburg, Air France will introduce them on additional flights this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      These routes include Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Papeete, Mexico, and Tokyo-Narita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      New European Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      In addition to its regular flight operations, Air France will commence 45 seasonal routes across France and Europe. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, three new routes will be launched:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Verona (Italy), with up to 3 weekly flights starting from April 2.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Narvik-Lofoten (Norway) offers 1 weekly flight every Saturday between June 15 and August 31.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Kalamata (Greece), featuring 1 weekly flight every Saturday from July 6 to August 31.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Furthermore, flights to Troms\u00f8 (Norway), typically available only during winter, will extend into the summer season, offering up to 2 flights weekly from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, operated by Airbus A319 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Additionally, Transavia France, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group, will serve 116 destinations across 33 countries through 206 routes. Once again, it will remain the leading low-cost carrier operating from Paris’ airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
