DUBLIN<\/strong>– Ryanair (FR)<\/a> disclosed today (15 Mar 2024) its seat capacity expansion by over 4,000 seats on routes connecting the UK and Germany in preparation for the upcoming UEFA European Football Championship fans this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional flights to Cologne (CGN), Dortmund (DTM), and Frankfurt (FRA)<\/a> from both London Stansted (STN) and Manchester Airport (MAN)<\/a> have been made accessible for booking on its official website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair Flights for Football Fans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jade Kirwan, the Head of Communications at Ryanair, remarked, “We’ve witnessed unprecedented bookings from football enthusiasts heading to Germany for what promises to be an extraordinary European Championship this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fewer Boeing 737 MAX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to CEO Michael O’Leary, Ryanair is expected to receive even fewer Boeing 737 MAX aircraft by the end of June than initially anticipated. This development could lead the budget carrier to adjust its summer schedule during peak travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in Dublin, Ryanair became the first European airline to signal potential disruption due to the deepening crisis at Boeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The American aerospace company has been undergoing a regulatory audit and faced restrictions on 737 MAX production since the mid-air panel blowout incident involving a new Alaska Airlines (AS)<\/a> MAX 9 on January 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, Ryanair was slated to receive 57 Boeing <\/a>MAX 8-200 planes by the end of April. However, just over a week ago, Boeing informed the airline that it would receive approximately 50 aircraft by the end of June, as stated by O\u2019Leary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actual number of Boeing aircraft remains uncertain. O\u2019Leary mentioned, \u201cWe don\u2019t really know how many aircraft we\u2019re going to get from Boeing. We\u2019re pretty sure we\u2019re going to get 30 to 40. We\u2019re reasonably confident we\u2019re between 40 and 45. And now we are far less confident we\u2019re going to get between 45 and 50.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
