As per CEO Carsten Spohr<\/strong>, Lufthansa is in discussions with United Airlines regarding joint “Africa flights via Brussels.” “This initiative with United is substantial, and we anticipate substantial benefits,” Spohr stated last week in Frankfurt<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Lufthansa intends to accelerate the revitalization of Brussels Airlines’ short-haul network. The group has recognized that it had reduced capacity excessively in Brussels and intends to augment feeder traffic once again for the lucrative African routes, as announced by Spohr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brussels Airlines refrains from providing detailed comments on the project. However, a spokesperson disclosed to aero.de<\/em> that the airline harbors ambitious growth plans for its long-haul network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
