Passengers had to disembark using airstairs on the open runway, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This incident followed more dramatic issues with another flight departing from San Francisco on Thursday. A United jet destined for Osaka, Japan, experienced\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/08\/united-777-loses-tire-on-takeoff-from-sfo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a tire loss during takeoff from San Francisco International Airport<\/a>. The incident occurred at approximately 11:35 a.m. when\u00a0<strong>United Flight 35<\/strong>\u00a0encountered trouble with its landing gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in the week, on Monday,<strong>\u00a0United Flight 1118,<\/strong>\u00a0bound for Fort Myers, Florida, had to return to Bush Intercontinental Airport after an engine fire shortly after takeoff.
