NEW YORK-<\/strong> American Airlines (AA) <\/a>is establishing a pilot base for Boeing 787 aircraft in New York (JFK)<\/a>, reported by aviation watchdog JonNYC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic move enables the airline to deploy the 787s directly from New York JFK, eliminating the need to relocate pilots from other cities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current action indicates that the airline is likely planning to operate newly delivered Boeing 787-9s, particularly those configured with a significant emphasis on premium seating, including new business class suites with doors, from New York. This choice aligns with the market’s premium nature compared to other potential opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
