DELHI-<\/strong> Tata-owned Air India (AI) <\/a>has declared its intention to recommence flights to Tel Aviv (TLV)<\/a>, Israel, from March 3, a move following the widespread suspension of flights to Ben Gurion International Airport by numerous airlines worldwide amid the outbreak of the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a communication addressed to travel agents, Air India has revealed its plan to recommence flights on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, initially opting for the shorter route over Saudi Arabia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Tel Aviv Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air India is the exclusive airline offering direct flights on this route, as El Al Airlines (LY) does not operate direct flights to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to FlightRadar24 weekly flight data, Air India will operate AI139 from Delhi to Tel Aviv. The flight is scheduled to take off from DEL at 4 Pm IST and land at TLV at 7:25 Pm local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, the official website booking page has confirmed the news with economy class fares starting from 41,965 INR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several airlines, including Lufthansa (LH), Swiss (LX), Aegean Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Air France, and Tarom, resumed operations at Ben Gurion Airport in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, low-cost carriers Wizz Air and Ryanair have partially resumed operations in Israel. Other carriers, such as Bluebird Airways, Smartwings, TUS Airways, ITA, and LOT Polish Airlines, have also announced the resumption of their flights to Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining this list are airlines like Flydubai, Red Wings, Azimuth, Ethiopian, Air Sinai, Etihad Airways, Heydar Aliyev International Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, and Hainan Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EL AL Airlines Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“El Al has been actively monitoring shifts in customer preferences since the onset of the war and adapting its flight schedule accordingly,” the company stated. “Owing to the ongoing security situation, there has been a notable decrease in demand from Israelis seeking tickets to various global destinations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company’s statement continued, highlighting, “In the wake of the route suspension to Johannesburg in South Africa, a decline in demand has also been observed for other destinations, including Dublin in Ireland and Marrakech in Morocco.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Al assured that all affected passengers would receive notifications of flight cancellations and be presented with alternative options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explaining the decision to suspend these routes, El Al emphasized its commitment to expanding operations by adding numerous flights to existing and popular destinations, as well as exploring opportunities for new routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Air India has declared its intention to resume flights to Israel starting March 3. This announcement comes amidst a global trend of airlines suspending flights to Ben Gurion Airport following the outbreak of the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
