MUNICH-<\/strong> German flag carrier Lufthansa (LH)<\/a> is expanding its flight offerings from Munich (MUC)<\/a> and Frankfurt (FRA)<\/a> to include four new European destinations this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lufthansa City Airlines (CL)<\/a>, the latest addition to the esteemed Lufthansa Group (LH), is also set to take flight in the upcoming summer of 2024, and the initial destinations have been officially announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lufthansa New European Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The four new European <\/a>destinations are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Trondheim, Norway: Starting from April 28, Lufthansa will operate twice a week from Munich to Trondheim, the country’s third-largest city, making it an ideal destination for an extended weekend in the northern region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Nantes, France: Commencing April 28, Nantes, situated at the Loire estuary with a rich history, will be served three times a week from Munich. This city is also a convenient gateway to Bretagne and the Atlantic coast. This new route complements the existing connection from Frankfurt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Oulu, Finland: The largest city in northern Finland and the northernmost major city in the EU will now have twice-weekly connections from Munich during the summer. Oulu has already proven to be a popular Lufthansa destination this winter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Chi\u0219in\u0103u, Republic of Moldova: Starting from April 29, Lufthansa will operate five flights a week from Frankfurt to Chi\u0219in\u0103u, the capital of the Republic of Moldova, home to over 500,000 inhabitants.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    City Airlines New Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Commencing its operations from Munich<\/a>, the airline will serve key routes to Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, D\u00fcsseldorf, Cologne, and Hanover. Furthermore, it will serve the following international destinations, including Birmingham<\/a>, Bordeaux, and Manchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As part of its strategic expansion, Lufthansa City Airlines plans to gradually extend its network, unveiling additional European destinations in the following months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With a commitment to the airline’s future, the Lufthansa Group has placed an order for 40 Airbus A220-300 aircraft<\/a>. Subsequently, the Munich-based carrier has secured an additional 20 purchase options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This move underscores the group\u2019s dedication to reinforcing its competitive edge in the short-haul sector, a pivotal element in fortifying market presence and supporting the growth of Lufthansa\u2019s long-haul routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The newly introduced Lufthansa City livery has already adorned the first two of the four Airbus <\/a>A319 aircraft scheduled for deployment this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
