CHICAGO-<\/strong> United Airlines (UA)<\/a> is set to reinstate its daily flight from New York\/Newark (EWR)<\/a> to Tel Aviv (TLV)<\/a>, Israel, marking the initial phase of restoring crucial passenger and cargo services that were halted in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resumption of Newark-Tel Aviv flights is scheduled for March 2 and 4, with stopovers in Munich (MUC)<\/a> to ensure seamless support from all service providers for non-stop service to and from Newark. No departures from Newark to Tel Aviv are planned for March 3 and 5. The ultimate aim is to recommence daily nonstop service to Tel Aviv starting March 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Newark to Tel Aviv Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

United conducted a thorough safety analysis in reaching this decision, collaborating closely with security experts and government officials in both the United States and Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline also worked in conjunction with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) and the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) to establish protocols ensuring safety and informed decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuous monitoring of the situation in Tel Aviv will guide schedule adjustments as necessary, including modifications to the newly announced resumed service from New York\/Newark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United expresses eagerness to reintroduce a second daily Tel Aviv flight from Newark as early as May, contingent upon the recovery of travel demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The possibility of resuming previous flights from San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare will be evaluated with a potential restart in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting January 8, 2024, the Lufthansa Group Airlines restarted flights to Tel Aviv. Initially, Lufthansa Airlines (LH) <\/a>operated four weekly departures from Tel Aviv to Frankfurt (FRA) and three weekly flights to Munich (MUC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, Austrian Airlines (OS) offers eight weekly connections to Vienna, while SWISS (LX)<\/a> has five weekly flights from Tel Aviv to Zurich (ZRH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
