DENVER-<\/strong> On Monday, a United Airlines (UA)<\/a> Boeing 757 aircraft executed an emergency landing in Denver while en route from San Francisco (SFO)<\/a> to Boston (BOS)<\/a>, as confirmed by ABC News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Flight 354 was redirected to Denver International Airport (DEN)<\/a> in the afternoon to attend to a concern with the slat on the wing of the aircraft, as reported by Ben Stein from ABC News<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Emergency Landing at Denver<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A video recorded by one of the 164 passengers on board depicts the issue with the plane’s wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight successfully landed at Denver International Airport at 5:21 p.m. on Monday, as verified by Stein. Following the safe landing, the airline made arrangements for another plane to transport the passengers to Boston as originally intended, with an anticipated arrival time of 1:24 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the transfer to the new plane, the passengers were initially aboard a Boeing<\/a> 757-200 jet. It’s noteworthy that Boeing has encountered issues with some of its planes earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, a Boeing 737 MAX 9 <\/a>jet experienced a mid-flight incident where its door plug was dislodged, resulting in a significant opening in the aircraft. The plane, carrying a full load of passengers, had to make an emergency landing, leading to the grounding of the MAX 9 model planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)<\/a> issued the following statement to ABC News regarding the incident:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“United Airlines Flight 354 safely landed at Denver International Airport at approximately 5:15 p.m. local time on Monday, February 19, following a crew report of a potential flap issue. The Boeing 757 had departed from San Francisco International Airport and was en route to Boston Logan International Airport. The FAA will conduct an investigation.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
