PHOENIX-<\/strong> America’s Friendliest Airport\u00ae is thrilled to reveal the commencement of American Airlines (AA) <\/a>new international service to Tijuana (TIJ), Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commencing on February 15, 2024, daily nonstop flights from Phoenix (PHX)<\/a> to General Abelardo L. Rodr\u00edguez International Airport are now operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines Phoenix to Tijuana<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego emphasized the robust trade and tourism connections shared between Phoenix and Mexico<\/a>, underscoring the significance of this new direct route to Tijuana in reinforcing their partnership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Gallego anticipates an annual economic impact of $10 million from the new flight, contributing to the city’s mission to diversify and strengthen its growing economy, particularly in the manufacturing sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She expressed gratitude to the exceptional Aviation Team and American Airlines for their dedicated efforts in making this announcement a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines Flight 4841 is scheduled to depart from PHX at 11:15 a.m. and arrive at Tijuana at 2:42 p.m. daily. The airline will deploy both Embraer 175 and Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft for this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
