This has resulted in the rescheduling of certain deliveries originally planned for late 2024 and portions of 2025, extending the timeline by several months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry sources disclosed this information on Friday with Reuters<\/em>, citing ongoing supply challenges as the underlying cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus New Delivery Delays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When approached by a news publication for a response on delivery planning, an Airbus spokesperson opted not to provide specific comments but conveyed that the company maintains an ongoing dialogue with its customers, acknowledging the complexity of the current operational environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the initial month of the year, Airbus experienced a noteworthy 50% surge in deliveries<\/strong> in January when juxtaposed with the corresponding month from the previous year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The earlier period had been marked by reduced deliveries due to shortages of components and industrial bottlenecks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, despite this positive trend, the availability of engines and other crucial components continues to be constrained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expert Opinion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the conference, Executive Chairman Steven Udvar-Hazy of Air Lease conveyed that numerous single-aisle aircraft from Airbus and Boeing <\/a>are currently experiencing delays, ranging from one year to as much as nine or eight months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that such delays have become increasingly commonplace in the current industry landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the previous year, Airbus surpassed its delivery goal by providing 735 aircraft to both airlines and leasing companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts at Jefferies anticipate that Airbus will aim for approximately 800 deliveries in 2024, and these projections are expected to be revealed when the company releases its results on February 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
