DUBAI-<\/strong> Emirates Airlines (EK)<\/a> has completed the final phase of restoring its Australia capacity with the announcement of its return to Adelaide (ADL)<\/a>. Starting on October 28, 2024, a daily service will resume between the South Australian capital and the airline’s Dubai hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This reinstated service aims to meet the growing travel demand to and from South Australia, providing passengers with convenient travel options to over 140 destinations across Emirates’ global network. This offers a broad spectrum of choices, flexibility, and connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates Dubai-Adelaide Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Having initially launched its Adelaide services in 2012, Emirates transported over 165,000 passengers between Dubai and Adelaide in 2019. By December 1, when Emirates reinstates its second daily service to Perth, the airline will operate 77 weekly flights<\/strong> from Australia, capable of transporting 68,000 passengers weekly to and from Australia<\/a>, thereby returning to its pre-pandemic capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates’ return signifies a significant milestone in South Australia’s pandemic recovery. The South Australian Tourism Commission estimates that the tourism expenditure generated by daily direct non-stop Emirates flights will surpass $62 million annually, creating over 315 full-time equivalent tourism-related jobs for South Australians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each flight will also offer 14 tonnes of cargo space, totaling 196 tonnes weekly between Dubai and Adelaide. The estimated value of freight exports is projected to reach $98 million per year, contributing to a total estimated expenditure generated by Emirates flights to Adelaide amounting to $160 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4,200 weekly seats<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Operating daily with the Boeing 777-200LR aircraft featuring 38 Business Class seats and 264 seats in Economy Class, the Adelaide service will provide 302 seats per flight and over 4,200 weekly seats between Dubai (DXB) and Adelaide. Emirates Business Class on the Adelaide service will feature a 2-2-2 configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates’ EK440 will depart from Dubai <\/a>at 02:00hrs and arrive in Adelaide at 20:50hrs. The return flight, EK441, will depart from Adelaide at 22:35hrs and arrive in Dubai at 05:15hrs. All times are local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
